Some background..This mod is based on what Aeon Nox 4 used to be. When Aeon nox 5 was released for the new version of xbmc (kodi) the author stripped alot of stuff away to water it down to a very liteweight skin that would run on the new small devices such as rasperyy Pis and NUCs etc. I can understand why, theres alot more people running kodi now then there used to be years ago when we enjoyed what nox 4 was.

Anyway, this mod is basically for those of us with faster high end systems that want to keep all the features.

Strangely I was aware of the first post. If you look at the range of devices people run Kodi on, an i3 NUC with 8Gb memory and solid state msata drive is not lightweight. Now if the conclusion is that Madnox is too feature rich to run adequately on anything less than an i5/i7 with modern SSD only, fair enough but that is not what the thread implies.

I would go a little further. The problem is not the eye candy, that works just fine and is just as fast as for other skins. The issue is the opening of add ons is very slow. That is a surprise to me because I would not have thought that was a particularly resource heavy action, particularly if you are using a list view only
