Firstly, I'm running kodi in an VirtualBox session for an add-n development enviroment. With virtualbox, I specific the resolution as 1280x800, whch is my target systems resolution. When i run xwininfo, it reports:
Width: 1280
Height: 800
What's strange, is that when I deliberately place text 700 pixels down, it's off the screen, and only some pixels are visible.
I change the resolution to 1280x720, confirm with xwininfo again:
Width: 1280
Height: 720
The text I placed at 700 pixels down is in exactly the same position. About 20 pixels showing.
I'm not really sure it's really understanding the 800 pixel height.
I'm not sure why this might be happening, but would be interested in any info.
