[REQ] [noob] is there a way to quick search files ?
#1
Hi everybody.

First post in this board.

I think Kodi has a nice UI, but I wonder if there's a way to quick search media files.
I mean, my HTPC has a internal Hard drive and 2 externasl USB HD.
I use a logitech wireless keyboard (K400) and I would like to start typing T, R , A ... and I wold like to see a clickable list like :

Transformers3.MKV [C:]
TRASCENDENCE.AVI [E:]
Starman.avi [F:]
....

I mean something similar to Windows 8.1 start menu.
is there any way to achieve this ?
thanks

There's a search function in the left hand side-blade menu. On the movie library list, press left and you should see it.

See Video_navigation (wiki) for more details. There's also a filter option in the same menu which may also help in narrowing list options down.

There's also the Global Search addon which might also be of interest to you.

Shift+letter or use the filter option in the lefthand sidebar menu.
