I just updated and tried to install an addon and I am receiving the message "failed to install a dependency". Does anyone know how I can fix this. It is also doing it why Kodi tries to self check for version.
Thanks in advance

I had that problem before as-well. Try to "force refresh" your kodi repository from the context menu.

Thanks, but still no luck. I have it installed on a Amazon Fire TV stick and when I press the context menu I don't see force refresh. It's happening with every addon I try to install!!

You must be able to Force refresh your repository. Another way is to backup your addon and userdata folder and do a fresh install.

"force refresh" as an option was removed. The same functionality should just happen with a normal "check for updates".
A
debug log (wiki) will tell us what the dependency error is.
