Kodi on the new AppleTV4
Oh, sorry. I thought the source code was ready for testing.

Does HD (TrueHD and DTS-HD) passthrough work in addition to standard AC3/DTS?
TrueHD and DTS-HD passthrough are still under investigation. As such, they will not make 1.0 release. We have to draw a line somewhere or we would never release anything Smile

Thanks for all your work Smile Reg. PVR Support. Is the ATV4 capable of doing 1080i h264 deinterlacing?

Thanks again for your work and it would be great if someone could give an Info reg. deinterlacing.

Regards
Vlaves

Anyone? Really would like to know if the hardware is capable of doing that?
Maybe someone can comment on that.

Thanks again for your support here.

Things are looking v promising over on the site!
Anyone have any idea how long apples typical approval time is for apps?
A few days?
The site to discuss the MrMC fork directly is here:

Its an opensource GPL project, so I wish them luck!
A little bit of history about XBMC / Kodi on the ATV (from the developer Sam Nazarko on the OSMC forums):

Quote:Seven years ago, I began working with XBMC (now known as Kodi), getting it to work on the Apple TV under Linux. An XBMC developer, Scott Davilla had done some work with 1080p playback, and made it possible on OS X and Apple TV’s original OS using a Broadcom Crystal HD card. My distribution was originally named Crystalbuntu. Two years later, the original Apple TV was no longer in production, so I looked towards a new platform. The Raspberry Pi was yet to be released, but it looked attractive with its low price point, low power consumption and small form factor. The rest is history.

Today, I’m bringing the great OSMC experience to the old Apple TV, almost ten years after the Apple TV was released and eight years after Apple stopped supporting the device. OSMC on Apple TV comes with Linux 4.2 and Kodi 15.x. ....

I'm aware my question is a bit premature, but will devs provide a way to edit keyboard.xml ? (So I can keep using my MCE remote)

Please forgive me for my ignorance if this was a stupid question.
