Interesting
Ive reset the box to factory settings 4 or 5 times, download and Reinstall the Kodi.....but none of them reset the Kodi settings..
But still show the pop-information (install kodi for the first time bla bla bla etc etc )
update: the Automatic restore was on...
When reinstalling an app, restored backup settings and data...
need to try it off..
Update2 till the same.... after reseting the box to factory settings the Kodi configuration remains the same...

The Gecko without the Kodi installed, doesnt do DTS-HD and the video is sluggish, this after a factory restore..
This leads to believe that after the Kodi installed the gecko always use the Kodi player...even if we are in Native player..

So after the kodi install happens a different player takes over for everything? Not really following if that is what you are saying or not. Is there a launch butto to a native player like there was on the chameleon?

No its the same native player but optimized with less bugs..plays dts-hd, better video etc..

Update the first post
Advice If you buying this Box: its necessary to add a Harmony Remote (RF) the navigation left - right while the movie is playing is much better now, the original remote and the internal IR are a complete rubbish.
Note: when the buffer fills the video clock, theres a delay in the navigation, even using the Harmony, i notice more delay in some movies and less in others.
Example: In the 2012 movie the delay is high.

In the Gecko software theres a function in Chinese character (that i can't read)
But i strongly suspect that is a cache cleaner like the Zidoo X6 Pro show in their video

The first thing to understood how gecko's kodi can auto-swich fps with hisilicon Hi3798M/C Soc :
dreamy Wrote:-Autoframerate 1080p (24p 25p 30p 50p 23.976p 60p) = Yes
if is true,so kodi addons can work at 100%
i think threre is same file must to be change like:
Auto-framerate switching for Amlogic
(Needs 666 on /sys/class/display/mode)
Auto-framerate switching for Rockchip
(Needs 666 on /sys/class/display/display0.HDMI/mode)
i tried ,but i never found
second thing enable h.265 with dvdplayer
than should be nice have Audio HD 3d ecc...
