I live in Taiwan. Every time when I try to download Kodi release, the mirror service will redirect me to some server in .CN domain, which is mainland China. I won't discuss politics here but the truth is: there is NO direct routing path between Taiwan and China. All packets, I mean EVERY packets, will be routed to west coast of United State first. As a result, internet speed between Taiwan and China is HORRIBLY slow. When I tried to download 15.2 RC 3 a few hours ago, the average download speed is 10Kbyte/sec. Yes you read it right, 10 KILO bytes per seconds. It takes HOURS to download. In the end, I've managed to download it from mirrorservice.org, and the average download speed is 1Mbytes/sec. 100 times faster than the mirror server in .CN domain.
So please, PLEASE, *STOP* redirect any connections from Taiwan to any mirror server in .CN domain. Mirror server in Japan (.JP), Australia (.AU) or United State is best suited for Taiwan users.
