Timeshift buffer - is it possible to delete on stop?
#1
I use a separate partition for my video cache and dvbviewer timeshift buffer. If I'm playing a file the video-cache files (I'm trying a zero cache setting) are deleted when I press stop.
If I'm watching tv then tsbuffer.ts can grow quite large - which would be fine except that if I press stop it stays there until it's deleted when another channel starts.
I can't see any advantage to this behaviour, and it obviously can reduce space on a drive for other temporary files (eg video-cache). Any chance of having a look - or explaining why it's intended behaviour?
Thanks for looking.

There's no specific reason. I just didn't add a truncate call. One can argue that you can watch the buffer content in case the Kodi player hung up, but thankfully this doesn't happen often.
Please open up an issue on my bug tracker. Thanks.
