Android saving backgrounds to your build
#1
First you must save your pictures to usb and have a root explorer or browser installed.(or similar program) Your device must be rooted for this to work.
This was used on convergence skin.I'm sure it will apply for other skins.

How to set and save backgrounds on kodi.

STEP 1.

Open kodi.
Select system---appearance---file lists---make sure SHOW HIDDEN FILES is highlighted.
Exit kodi.

STEP 2

Enter MY APPS---select EXPLORER or BROWSER(or similar program)---move down the list select STORAGE---EXTERNAL STORAGE---SDA1---Backgrounds---SELECT (the file you created on the usb stick)

At the bottom of screen press Multi SELECT---(highlight the file you created on the usb stick)
Press copy.

Go back to PARENT FOLDER(at the top)
Press sdcard—android---data---org.xbmc.kodi---files---kodi---addons.
near the bottom of the list select--- skin.convergence---backgrounds
at the bottom press paste.Wait until it copies.

STEP 3

Open kodi
Sytem---appearance---skin---settings---background
Choose what you want to set the background for (eg.TV Shows)
Press Single image---external storage---Android---data---org.xmbc.kodi---files---kodi---addons

near bottom of list press---skin.convergence---backgrounds---select (your file)---ok

picture(your file) is now set as background and will stay with the build to be transferred to another box if required. This worked on my Android MXIII tv box your paths should be similar.
