v15 Kodi crashes upon resume play x265

Still happening in v17 (Krypton). Oh, well. I guess the trick is just to never resume, and instead skip to the point in time where you were before.

Bug observed by me too. (All videos - not just x265)

System: Krypton, Win 10 64bit, i5 4440, Intel® HD Graphics 4400, 12 GB RAM

As a work around, I get the actual resume time, resume from 00:00 and manually seek to actual resume time.

My solution is just as primitive... I basically never resume video. I look at it, see that it's 44 minutes in (for example), then start the video from the beginning and skip to 44 minutes in. Not great, but this doesn't seem to have a fix coming anytime soon.

Which driver?

I'm a little confused... they are all NUCs, but one of them is Skull Canyon while the others aren't. I don't see how they're using the same driver, and if they are, what would be an alternative driver?

all NUCs has Intel GPU, which uses the same video driver. what exactly confuses you? Or you didn't know this?

Well, it's happening to me from last 2 years, lol.
And today I just try to run kodi with my nvidia card. And it's gone. I feel so dumb ._.

Hi,

As an update on this, as I have also suffered the same with my NUC, using Kodi 17.4 & driver : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloa...duct=75025 (15.40.36.4703) with my 4th Gen I3 on my NUC now means I can resume h.265 without having to find some work around / turn hardware decoding off etc.

My settings for the video section are :

Hi,

I still get the issue on newer drivers,
it must have been a fluke.

However using Plex for Kodi I have found a way around it:

Hi,

I'm on Kodi 18.1 and I also have this issue. It happens only with x265/HEVC movies. I don't know what to do, I tried everything.

Turn off hardware acceleration.  That worked for me.  I haven't had this problem for a very long time now.
