START HERE - Pick the Right Kodi Box (updated Dec 2020)
I have been using the D Link Boxee Box for a while now, but feel I can be using something better. This has limited apps and KODI only goes up to 14.

So, I am looking for a new Android Box that has Kodi, that would perform better than the Boxee Box, That I can also install other apps from Google Play store. Also a box that can hook up to 5GHz band on router, if possible.

I have seen some posted on geek.wish.com such as MXQ PRO 4K Android 6.0 S905X Quad Core 17.1 WiFi 8GB 3D Smart TV Box for $60 or something similar, some on sale and use to be something like $1000 or something.
I am guessing these are the bad boxes that have been advised to avoid?

If so, what would be good for me to get that would not cost too much?
