(b) completely untested hardware.

If someone wants to produce a comprehensive DIY thread with High End 4K HDR equiptment and does comprehensive testing then I will link to it.

For 4K LibreELEC Kodi Krypton, try finding quality silent hardware that has working 2x2 MIMO AC WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, proven 10bit 4K HEVC decode capable, proper thermal management and comes optioned with a quality integrated Wireless Air Mouse Mini Keyboard remote.
Then you still get to Dual Boot into decent Android Firmware. That's why the U1 makes the grade.
