So personally i cannot recommend anything at this price tag Smile

If you can afford maybe invest a bit more ?

Always check first post for recommended hardware to suit your needs..
Problem is that I don't want to spend $200cad on a box, then wipe it out for OpenElec, which will probably wipe out the warranty as well. Especially since I haven't seen much about reversing the process if it needs to be exchanged or something. Plus, still got the TV to pay for and the NAS this week. Smile

So many makes and models though, like everything else, there's likely a few good cheaper ones, and a few over priced ones that you're just paying for the name.

Looking at the first post "Various cheap AMLogic S9xx devices running Android Nougat OS 7.1.2 or LibreELEC or CoreELEC" comes up often as recommended, which is what I'm looking for.
System 1: HK1 RBox - Android 11, S905X4 Quad-Core, 4GB DDR3 - CoreElec KODI 20.3
System 2: Beelink GT1 Ultimate - Android 7.1, S912 Octa-Core 1.5 GHz, 3GB DDR4 - CoreElec KODI 18
Storage: WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra NAS - 2x4TB WD Blue (WD40EZRZ)
Display: 55" TCL 55R615-CA 4K TV
