hello my son in law has a usb device that is in his hdmi slot and it has got xbmc on it and he also has a remote control with it,my question is can i get some sort of usb device with Kodi already installed on it in the United Kingdom please?

It's probably an HDMI stick if it's in the HDMI slot (so not really a USB device).
Amazon's Fire TV Stick will run Kodi if it is side loaded, but they aren't a great performing solution, and Amazon don't really go out of their way to support Kodi and similar apps.
You can get countless Android HDMI TV sticks - but they're mostly all a bit rubbish.
There are some Intel HDMI TV sticks (like the Intel Compute Stick) - which will either run Windows 8.1/10 or Linux - but they also have their limitations.
What are your main aims for your Kodi use? Playing back content from a NAS or USB local storage?

It sounds as the Amazon Fire Stick. And no, do not know of any stock USB device with Kodi pre-loaded.
