- Gigabit Ethernet
- Superior HDMI-CEC control vs all other LE AML platforms - due to open sourced U-boot code.
- Reference Hardware status - LE development platform.
- Automatic LibreELEC updating if using official LE builds.
- Self programmable IR receiver - use any remote you want.
- Safely - Overclockable
- Properly, engineered & manufactured with reliable quality componentry

Decent setup is: C2 Board, Case, SD card, USB Power cord, HDMI cable. Use any old USB device charger lying around to supply power and Ethernet connect for superior video streaming.

That sounds absolutely perfect! - I've found an ordroid c2 for 53.65 is that the going rate? - any recommendations for a nice case for it? automatic updating via LE builds sounds awesome. Im glad I asked as I really thought a s905 china box was the way to go, but this c2 looks the business.

No optical audio out though for us old dinosaurs?

Surely an HDMI audio extractor is the best bet these days. Optical and Coax SPDIF legacy audio is going the way of all things...
