A widget goes transparant when it's refreshing it's contents. At the same time there should also be a busy spinner displayed to indicate that it's doing work. The refresh should only take little time btw.
A few questions for you:
1) Do you see the busy spinner when the widget is transparent ?
2) Will the widget return to full opacity again after a specific amount of time (a few seconds) ?
3) Which homelayout are you using ?

1/ Not all the time.
2/ Takes alot longer than 20 seconds (at least) but by then ive usually just gone into the addon itself.
3/ Horizontal/Confluence low layout.
Just seen the new update so ill try this out and get back to you.
Tbh i had it all setup great on my windows PC but im now using an android tv box so that could be one main reason for it to slow down as i probably do have all the bells and whistles with this skin
