That Dobly spelling mistake is all through the Audio code sections of the AML Linux Kernel.
Just like your "(supoprts DTS-HD and TruedHD)" above.
@eric, you really are better off taking this custom EDID issue up with HardKernel in their Linux C2, Sub-forum and asking why the AML Kernel is handshaking like it is. Its beyond the scope of this Kodi forum.
Furthermore any custom mods will not be accepted, at this present point in time, into the AMLogic LibreELEC master code as the S905, Hub, Play2 and C2 now share the same linux-amlogic Kernel with the same Kodi patches.
You would have to do your own LE fork going forward.
Others handle it by using LE on the C2 with a proper TV. I've not seen anyone doing what you want on any LE AMLogic device.
