I've given it a bit of thought and in retrospect I agree with the choice of a "vertical only" option. The real estate to the right of the menu is the best space for the additional UI elements such as movies, episodes, addons etc.
If anyone else wants a horizontal menu then there will be nothing stopping them from creating a horizontal mod once the skin has been finished and released. This way the skin devs can focus more on less. Just saw the trailer via the last blog post and the skin looks phenomenal. If I had anything bad to say about it then it would be that I want it NOW!
Looking forward to this guys, I believe this skin will stay in the same vein of Fonfluence when it comes to the principles of good design - except better!
