As described in more detail (but in the wrong place) here.
It would be great if it was easier to tell the difference between tv-show episodes and movies in the "Guide" view.
At the moment only the program genre changes the background colour, causing movies and tv shows belonging to the same ETSI genre to have identical colors. To be more specific, a lot of tv-shows have a genre like "Comedy" or "Detective / Thriller" that both belong to the major ETSI genre "Movie/Drama". These are used for both movies and tv-shows which is valid according to the ETSI specification.
In "Includes_PVR.xml" there is an expression defined named "listitem_has_episode_info" which checks if a list item has an episode-number, episode-title or season-number. I tried to use this expression as a condition to apply a colordiffuse attribute to the relevant texture. I was hoping that a semi-transparent white layer would highlight programs without episode info, but it looks like I can only make such items darker. I'm just touching the subject and certainly no UX/UI expert, so hopefully the skin designers have a better idea to tackle this issue properly and not just for me, but for every Estuary user.
