Accessing PseudoTV server from behind a firewall
#1
Hello, PTVL users... I'm having a problem that is due to my wireless router and is not necessarily a PTVL problem per se...

So I am just getting into using this, and for now am just using this as a live EPG for my USTVNOW paid subscription. I have "donor features" but I noticed that the features were never activated... until I tethered my device (a Fire TV) on my cell phone and they came to life. Back on my ISP, these features went away. Then I bypassed my wireless router and went straight through the cable modem and then the features came back again. The REAL problem with this is the fact that EPG guide data on initial setup won't load unless I bypass my router completely. Tonight I will experiment with using a DMZ but that is not a long term solution.

SO... my question is, which ports need to be open for PTVL to fully function? I was thinking 80 but that didn't seem to help. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or know the solution?
