Not really. v17 uses a complete different concept for passthrough. The engine directly speaks non iec passthrough. Also the sink sync mechanism highly differs. The v17 code was written by me.
Fritsch, my apologies. You and Koying have achieved wonders for Shield users! It's a shame you both can't team up on SPMC which seems to be the future for Android. You could have both your faces chiseled into the Android equivalent of Mt Rushmore!
Edit: That being said: Davilla (MrMc) has ported the v17 Audio Engine to the v16 version. With this combination the sync issues should be directly fixed, just as a hint.
