Hi,
I try to get the CPU number on Pi2 running xbian to register video codecs.
I tried /proc/cpuinfo as xbian and root user. In both cases I get permission denied.
How can I get that number?
Thanks

Ok, got it with: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Serial | cut -d ':' -f 2
Thanks

"nproc" also works...
Edit: Ah serial number not cpu count... misread.
