I've been told there are noticeable color improvements for some displays, with this option turned on.
What is the difference between this Deep Color and the Wide Gamut Color mentioned, or are they one and the same thing ?

Deep Color was first introduced in HDMI 1.3 in 2006. It refers to increased color depth (30,36,48 bits). It was introduced to support wider color gamut. Sony's xvYCC color scheme introduced at the same time would have benefited from Deep Color. xvYCC never became popular and now with Rec. 2020 it may very well be considered as defunct. If the source content is not 30, 36, 48-bit, Deep Color output isn't of much use. It is not going to improve the picture quality by some magic.

I couldn't find any reference to Deep Color in S905 technical specification (from Odroid). I have a feeling that Amlogic is using the same Android Marshmallow SDK for S905 and S905X. S905X should support Deep Color if it has to output HDR10.
