@wapvi If you have read the thread, you might have understood it surely was a Walmart mistake that some could grab it before official launch...

Two different WMs near me didn't have it. Those that do are breaking whatever the street date is, probably this week or next I'd think.

Just wait for these to hit eBay, the official, non-China market one that is.

Looks like the launch may be sometime today. ? (Treat this as rumor though, since there's been no official announcement)

AFTVnews is reporting it as the 10th for the launch. Again though, this may just be rumor.

But it's being reported here: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/xiaomi-bri...00436.html as being today.

EDIT: It now has a price listing in the Xiaomi store (US only), listed at $69. http://www.mi.com/en/mibox/

Should the fact that they don't highlight that it is "Netflix HD capable" on their website and marketing info, be a clear signal that it doesn't support Netflix HD?

Mi.com now says that you can order it at 12PM ET (doesn't specify the country) and the orders will ship on Oct 6th.

According to user reports, it does Netflix 4K/UHD.

Yes in Lon's YouTube review he talks about support of 4K/UHD Netflix, although this was on pre-release Firmware and 4K Netflix had an occasional video glitch issue.

Also, we now know, that even though Amazon Instant Video is not supported. If you sideload a Sony TV - Android TV OS - AIV App, you get 1080p video output (audio 2.0). This is only for those Android devices packing proper DRM approvals like the nVIDIA Shield & WeTek Play2 (Hub to be confirmed).
I would expect expect the Mi Box to be able to do the same as it should have all the same DRM approvals.

Some people are already stating that they have already ordered it. But there seems to be an issue with their site were it doesn't give the option for purchase for some people. Someone who spoke to them (chat) said they said it was due to network congestion (though I don't know how that would keep the "Buy" option from showing up).
