Two different WMs near me didn't have it. Those that do are breaking whatever the street date is, probably this week or next I'd think.

Should the fact that they don't highlight that it is "Netflix HD capable" on their website and marketing info, be a clear signal that it doesn't support Netflix HD?

Mi.com now says that you can order it at 12PM ET (doesn't specify the country) and the orders will ship on Oct 6th.

Yes in Lon's YouTube review he talks about support of 4K/UHD Netflix, although this was on pre-release Firmware and 4K Netflix had an occasional video glitch issue.
Also, we now know, that even though Amazon Instant Video is not supported. If you sideload a Sony TV - Android TV OS - AIV App, you get 1080p video output (audio 2.0). This is only for those Android devices packing proper DRM approvals like the nVIDIA Shield & WeTek Play2 (Hub to be confirmed).
I would expect expect the Mi Box to be able to do the same as it should have all the same DRM approvals.
