Those is DEVELOPER MODE.

To enable developer mode go to Settings > About > Press Build 7 times. You will receive a message on-screen that you are now regarded as a developer...

Hey guys,

I was just wandering if anyone managed to wake up the box with USB wifi keyboard or such. I have Rii i8+.

So far I've tried every key, and I even managed to freeze Xiaomi in the process a couple of times, up to a point that I have to unplug / plug in again.

Therefore, now I have to always push the round button on the stock remote and only then use keyboard, which is an inconvenience (so I just leave the box on at all times for now).

It draws so little power, no real reason not to leave it on always.

I don't mind the extra power cost.

What I don't trust is an android device that's on 24/7 Smile Usually they tend to slow down with time / apps filling the RAM. Even my Galaxy S7 with 4G of RAM I reboot once a week to speed things up.
And I have no idea how good RAM management on Mi Box is...probably not perfect.
When I go to "running apps" seems everything I started since last boot is there, even if I've fully closed an app in the meantime. Hell, even after I restart seems some apps are constantly running for no reason (not system apps).

I guess it stays on for now, and we'll see...

I believe Xiaomi have unleashed the Sticky Stuff - aka Android Nougat for the Mi Box with working Refresh switching.

Hi all, new member in forum, old user of Kodi.
Im thinking to buy the Xiaomi box, cause i think is more reliable and stable than other cheap android boxes, but the lack of ethernet port and the Libreelec solution is a big disadvantage for me. I cant read all pages to find if the box has any bugs or what is the quality of the picture so pls if someone can inform me i will apreciate it a lot.
Thx in advance

Im thinking of using iptv with my MiBox
How do you fill in all the info (m3u etc.) Manual or is there a way to copy paste?

Is Kodi the way to go or Perfect Player?

Hopefully it fixes some Casting issues I have (Sorry, I know it's not Kodi related). Most of the time, I can't cast to the device unless it's immediately following a reboot. I had the same problem with the Shield TV, but that cleared after Nougat update... hoping for similar results.

I have the Mi Box and it has high quality picture and I have no problem with the lack of Ethernet port. I had always made an Ethernet port a high priority but for the money I went ahead and took the risk. It simply works and speedtest reflects good results and I have no buffering even with 4K local video.

Guys,

Just got my mi box and Netflix is definitely not HD or does it even give a DD 5.1 option in the options? Any ideas why?. That's why I bought this box! Also. my uploaded 4K YouTube videos only give 1080P as the highest choice?

thx
