When viewing a DVD with, for example, deleted scenes turned on (where a popup indicates you can view a deleted scene by pressing the select button), I am unable to view the branched scene. Instead, the A button simply pauses the movie (much like it would do when viewing any standalone video file). The thing is, this actually worked a couple of weeks ago, and I did not update XBMC between the time it worked and when it stopped working. That was an 0625 T3CH build...in efforts to resolve the issue, I have since updated to 0805 T3CH build.

it could be that the buffer in the dvdplayer makes the period you can press the button, actually be before it shows on screen. just a thought.
