Linux Not all video scaling methods available
#1
I recently realized that I can no longer use the more sophisticated video scaling methods like Lanczos or Spline. Only Bilinear and NN is available. Anybody else experienced a similar thing? By construction, should all scaling methods be available on HW and SW decoding?

you can use the scalers no matter what decodes as such. but you need a proper gpu with shader support, the scalers are gpu shaders.

It definitely uses to work with that system / cpu

Most likely you have set: Use HQ scalers when scaling above: 20% and don't know why it sucks to upscale 1080 to 1080 with Lanczos3. This new setting and its default is there so that users stop shooting in their feet.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

The post a complete Debug Log - there is no reason this should not work.

Ok, I did a system upgrade and a restart of it, now it reappeared. I will come back to this if the issue pops up again.
