After looking into it LibreELEC has no apt so thats a no go for me which is a real shame.
I have all sorts of other things I need to install.

 If you just want a PVR with simple recording from addon streams you could see if my TV Guide Fullscreen is good enough for you.

You can configure the AutoPlayWiths to record using ffmpeg or whatever backend you need.

Thanks but I feel I'm nearly there with TVHeadend now, finally got the grabber to show up and that seems to be working.
Ive been using an enigma2 box for ages which is great, but I've essentially got a satellite dish and enigma box running for the sake of a handful of FTA channels, I'm really used being able to schedule recordings etc for when I'm not home, and I really want to keep that functionality.
