Cannot stream shows from library add-ons across network
#1
Hello,

I have a QNAP NAS with Kodi installed on to and also have a library.
I then turned UPNP on on my NAS
I also installed Kodi on my desktop that is connected to the same router.
I added my library in the Videos section and browsed to UPNP and see my Kodi library there.

The problem is that I cannot stream any videos from add-ons that will play on my NAS from my computer, Is there some additional setup that I need to do to get this working.

I am able to add my folder that houses my video on my NAS and play that without a problem, just not able to stream from add-ons which leads me to suspect that I need to configure something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The UPnP feature does not stream videos from add-ons, only the libraries.

Aha ok, Is there a way to stream content from add-ons across my network?
I'm also wondering about how simple MYSQL is to setup/use so I can watch content from one device or the other and keep my watched flags in sync on both devices.

MySQL is dead simple and fully described on the wiki.
