According to Kodi, I can turn off subtitles whilst watching a video. But there is no option to do so in the audio section. Also in the main settings of Kodi (subtitles) there is no option to turn them off. There's an option to shrink/move them which does not work(pointless). But there is no option to block or remove them. .

If I press enter/ok during the movie there's a option to switch subs and even disable them.
But that only works when the subs aren't hardcoded,
If I'm not mistaking the L key also cycles true the options
