Scan for New Content not working after Delete and Re-Add Movie
#1
Jarvis 16.1
Scan for content and library update is not working when I do the following:
Delete a movie from my "Movies" Folder
Clean library
Exit Kodi
Add back the movie into the Movies Folder
Open Kodi
Click Videos, Files
Right Click Movies Folder
Select Scan for New Content
It doesn't pick up that the movie has been added back. The folder is present if i go into it through Videos, Files, Movies, but the movie is not in the library

Successful workarounds so far:
1. Go to Videos, Files, Click on the "Movies" folder, Right click the folder titled with the added movie name and select movie information. Then Kodi adds it to the Library.
or
2. Go to Videos, Right click Movies folder, change content, select none (Kodi removes movies from library), right click movies folder select set content, select movies. Kodi rescans entire Movies folder and finds the added movie along with all the other movies it removed from the library.

Any solutions or recommendations? Is this a bug or user error?

FYI, Movies are in separate folders named with "Movie Title (Year) "which are all in a "Movies" folder and i have selected the option for them being in separate folders.

I repeated the problem and then implemented workaround 1 at the end of the log for reference.

Brief description of actions i performed while logging.
Opened Kodi
Deleted Ace Ventura from "Movies 8" folder via remote computer
Cleaned Library in Kodi from Settings. This removed Ace Ventura from Library.
Added Ace Ventura back to "Movies 8" folder via remote computer
Went to Videos, Files, Right clicked "Movies 8", selected Scan for new content
Navigated to Movies. Ace Ventura was not added to library
Implemented Workaround:
Went back to Videos, Files, left clicked Movies 8, right click Ace Ventura folder, selected Movie information.
Popup appears asking if Ace Ventura was correct, I selected it
Navigated back to Movies, and Ace Ventura was now added to my library

None of that is in the log. For one thing at line 558 you turn debugging off!

Seems i pasted the wrong log file. Sorry if I caused any wasted time!
I repeated the procedure described above on a clean install and on my existing install, and both had the same results. The movie that was deleted would not be detected when re-added and scanned.

Here is the log file from a clean install of Kodi:

Here is the log file from my existing install of Kodi:
http://pastebin.com/XxMsxLXT

As a side not i noticed a bunch of lines on the existing install log (627-1795) about an removed directory called Movies. That folder is removed and does not appear under videos, files, so I'm not sure why there's info on the log about it.

Any progress on a fix for this? Is it best to submit a bug report rather than just this thread in the forum?
