The signatures Tapatalk enables by default really are quite annoying because they plaster our forum with commercials.
The Tapatalk app is quite cool and offers you the oppertunity to change your signature.
You can disable it, or even make it something original about yourself.
Would you mind doing so ?
In the meanwhile we keep stripping off the commercial part and having some fun [emoji14]

I doubt the Kodi team has any control over that, you'd need to get each user to turn them off.

I use tapatalk for more than just Kodi. It seems the signature is messed up for Kodi only. Instead of saying "sent from iphone " it says "look at this iphone porn!" And it's a url.

I've turned it off for my phone. Too bad it's a global setting otherwise I could disable it for here only.

Since it is apparently possible to replace the text, why not just "filter"/blank it out and be done with it rather than ask the users?

I've disabled my signature as well. I've also contacted tapatalk about it. This only effects the Kodi forums. I'll keep posted if I get an update.

If they have the ability to change the wording and make it a link (to this thread), they could have just as easily blanked out the tapatalk text completely. A lot of the people who had it turned on probably didn't realize it, and probably don't go checking to see if old posts suddenly got changed to porn ads. Granted, it's done in humor, and I actually did find it funny, but I wouldn't leave it that way.
Making it say something different, regardless of the message, is basically the same thing as editing another person's post, and you should never do that*. Blanking is better, because that won't cause any confusion to other people looking onward, change the intent of the message, etc.

You are not forced to turn it off. You are welcome to put a personal signature there that doesn't spam the default commercial for Tapatalk.
You can customize the tapatalk signature? I thought it was a global tapatalk setting, where it is either on or off. I'm not talking about the signature feature of myBB.
Don't get me wrong, I was always one of the people who was quick to complain about Tapatalk sigs and those popups the forum extension would try to enable by default. I hate that stuff.

Yes this is a customised Tapatalk signature as the default ones are stupid and no one cares what device you used.
