3D MVC also works for me. Depth is fine in one file I tried (ripped from ISO with MakeMKV).

Hoping to test this weekend... my Epson 5025UB 3D PJ died, so bought a BenQ HT2050 3D as a 'stop-gap' (great deal for $630 shipped) until I figure out what to do about 4K ahead.
Maybe wait for HDMI 2.1, or maybe a manufacturer will release a 4K+3D PJ, or possibly get a separate PJ for 4K, or who knows

For me the audio issues with Ghostbusters and other movies are solved with 1.2.9.

Funny, for me it works. I have the same visual experience as playing ISO. But i have exactly this problem with the Odroid_C2 and LE 7.1.1 custom builds by wrxtasy.
I will re-rip some ISO's later with the latest MakeMKV and try them again, TBH this problem is least important IMO as ISO plays fine, the other 2 i reported are real problems.
Does anybody have Cinavia problems with this machine?
I ripped Mechanic Resurrection blu ray and watched it back with Atmos audio almost fine, about half way through the audio cuts out completely, i had to stop the file and restart it and the audio came back.
I then Muxed that Atmos audio into a 4K file for testing using latest MKVToolNix syncing at -500ms, after 7 minutes the Audio cuts out, any attempt then to switch to a non Cinavia audio track causes the player to hang, exiting to home, killing app and starting again does not sort it out and a reboot of the machine is required, any attempt to play the file past this point successfully is futile.

Projectors are 3D's only future and looks like the Optoma UHD60 could be first on the affordable shortlist ?

I always expect the fw 1.2.9 for the zidoo x8 to check the problem of audio dropout.

If I install Kodi and have ZDMC too, do they both share the same settings folder? (Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/)
If not, where is the ZDMC data folder?
Just curious to try some files that drop frames in ZDMC. In my Windows PC, in Kodi, the files play ok. If anyone has Kodi installed in his x9s and can help me, I can send him a link to the file.

I installed 1.2.9 on my X9S and did a quick test. I saw that subtitles (included in a 3D mkv iso) show side by side. The external subtitle shows fine (3d rendered).
Can someone confirm this?

This was posted on the Zidoo forum but you seem to get feedback here more.
DTS Master Audio now works finally, but one step forward two steps back. When you first turn the unit on and try to start a movie in kodi library nothing happens, you have to go into explorer-click into my movie folder then switch back to kodi library then movie will play. Once you have done that every movie plays back until you switch off then on again and its back to navigating to explorer again to get up and running.This is with Ethernet connection to my NAS, Never had this problem before firmware update and was fine on the Beta5,also the remote on my ipad does not work neither.

As I said, we have made a crucial progress on the issue of audio dropout . I'm glad to tell you the good news that we have solved it today. So we will release a new version soon. This version also optimized the subtitles display on native player, it looks great.
It is really very difficult, many engineers work on this issue for more than a month, until we got some very professional analysis instruments to find the issue, anyway, we have a good result now ,Cheers!
