....I don't need any help just to get that part out of the way (i.e. I am not going to post a debug log but understand that you may need to dig through my life to justify a public accusation) Honestly the most proliferative and unhelpful posts in this forum in the last few years is the increasing hostility without even the pretense of rationale at the posters with just a single factor in common - they are connected to a network.
Honestly the change in level from 2 years to now scares me. The best way to explain this is a free health clinic demanding to see registration papers or green card to any foreigner before helping someone with a yet serious infection. Said person goes home. 10 days later the clinic is flooded with minority and non-minority patients.
I'm sure you don't have to point out the possibility that there may be something not lefal going on. I'm sure the person knows the possibility of being accused posting their issue on this forum.
I thought well of course they know this is the best place to find answers. Just as illegal immigrants pay for stolen IDs...they could just google for a debug log with said error. They could totally troll around. The reverse halo effect of "streamers" seem to be as bad as being asked to multiply something because I'm Asian. I may be a genius. I may be 12 years old. I may be streaming porn legally and don't need to publicize where the stream came from.
It seems that by putting the poster into "that group" since you're not in that group you are just aggravating an issue and creating defensiveness in people who may not have been very gungho about it. People who defend an issue naturally feel more attached and convicted by it.
I think I hesitate because to mount this level of defense makes me worry I'll fall into that trap.
As with children and dogs....it's better to ignore behavior you don't want repeated. Negative reinforcement isn't known to create lasting behavior changes. At the same time, a person can't shout about hiw unjust or unnecssary negative responses are if they are going to hop forums until someone pets their head and says you're awesome! My point is - there is no good bad it just seems best to keep this objective and grounded in the technical issues at hand.
Last post ever I get super embarassed when I post in a social forum like this. Ok. Do I say bye? Signing off? Over out? ...bye.
