Hey all,

So I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I have been searching everywhere but cannot find any answers.

My girlfriend is thai and can speak English fairly well, though when watching movies, Thai subtitles would come in handy.

So I have installed them and have them displaying, though, they are not in Thai.

There is something wrong with them as the characters are incorrectly displayed.

So what can I do to fix this issue?

By the way, this is a firestick that I am using.

So any solutions you have, it would be great coming from there, but still open to hear ideas.

Make sure the files are UTF8 encoded.

you could do that with notepad++

After downloading the sub srt file, copy the content, create a new file, paste the content and overwrite the downloaded srt file.

You still have to follow the instructions regarding arialuna font. Don't forget to select it as your font of choice at settings > video > subtitles, also check the "override" option.and I think yoi have to restart playback.
