The problem I described in Post 498 (thumbnail extraction does not work) still persists with devel-20170112210208-#0112-gd210441. Additionally I tried the latest Kodi L****** nightlies on Windows and Android. They don't have this issue.

Yes, I can confirm this issue started with #0104, and it doesn't affect Generic with build #0104 so appears to be RPi specific (as far as my builds are concerned).

I've tested with local (/storage/video) files and see the same behaviour as you do:

@popcornmix - in #0104 there are several ffmpeg changes, some of which relate to ffmpeg-3.2.

I haven't bumped to ffmpeg 3.2 in these builds yet as Kodi master is still using ffmpeg 3.1.6.

Could these newclock5 ffmpeg 3.2 changes be the cause of the thumbnail extraction issue? These ffmpeg 3.2 changes would not be in the Generic LE #0104 build.

I did a custom build using your buildsystem where these commits were blacklisted. Thumbnail extraction now works again. So indeed these commits are the culprit. Unfortunately I could not narrow it down further since these commits kind of depend on each other.
