omxplayer is a hardware decoder - it will never support DRM streams which are software decoded (Amazon/Netflix).
I'm trying to add an automatic disable of omxplayer in this case, but so far haven't been able to determine this at required point in time.
Can you give a detailed description of how to reproduce the mmal problem with youtube?
