v18 -  LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)

did someone ever made Spotify Connect via librespot working on an RPI3 with libreelec?
I'm a bit lost as I can't find an addon or some comandline tools to set it up. And out of the box I'm not seeing my libreelec box as an Spotify Connect target.

Thanks for any hints.

Yes I had the same problem. I posted it a few days ago with a debug log but I am not sure whether this is worked on or further input is necessary!

@milhouse/@garbear: did you have any luck to get to the bottom of this?

First of all, we can't control what happens (or is broken) outside of Kodi. Second of all, the code to manage controllers and their ports doesn't exist. So you won't find a solution in Kodi. Hence, I've started creating a Player Manager so that troubleshooting and fixing this will be possible. Expect this feature within a week or two.

And third of all, no debug log, no problem.

Yes, I know you can not control what happens outside kodi, what I am saying is that when in kodi, controller management has an odd behavior since 0714 build. When I connect my controller (DS3/DS4) it is recognized as second controller, in my DS3 the second red light is on. Also if I connect my DS4 via USB it is assigned as second controller and then if I connect my DS3 it is recognized as controller 4...

First I thought that it was related with LibreELEC since bluetooth is managed/paired with LibreELEC settings addon, but using USB it is the same, that's why in my previous post I just was asking if it is something anyone else is experiencing, now that I tested more thoroughly here are the logs:

Controller is assigned twice, first as joystick 0 as it should be, then as joystick 1 for "motion sensors".

I'm sorry I have no controller without "motion sensors" to test.

any idea?

Thanks for the big testing! Hope this helps for finding the bug! I have the same issue with 714+ and is has been working flawlessly with 713 and before (also libreeelec 8 on two other rpi3s...)

(2017-07-19, 19:07)bill_orange Wrote: I discovered a problem with remote access when testing the wireless network driver.

On builds (at least) #0717 and #0718 I can no longer SSH in when KODI is not selected (ie. The TV and stereo connected by CEC are OFF and KODI ON).

I will do further testing to find out the build when this worked. It could be something in CEC settings changed but I still can not see the left side of the CEC setup screen.

*Edit*
Yes, build #0716 does not have the problem.

Build #0719 appears to have corrected this problem.

Well, I thought this problem was behind me, but my test procedure may have been in error. I found on build #0720 that I can not connect with SSH or WinSCP after a while. A while might be around eight hours. If I don't touch anything but turn WiFi OFF and then ON again all is well. WiFi was not dead in that Weather was updating. Weird.

So maybe this is a WiFi driver issues. This is all using an RP3 with the built in Broadcom WiFi chip.

Can anyone reproduce this? Would any of my logs show anything helpful? If so, let me know and I will post.

Logs are always helpful. Especially when it's tough get our hands on the latest crystal ball.

You mean the same PR12507 that merged 3 days ago and has been included since #0718?

Apologies, did not notice. @garbear, still experiencing black screen during emulations.

Hi

Thanks for the outstanding work.

Can I just ask a quick question about inputstream.rtmp? I'm currently on build 714 and see that it is no longer installed by default, and attempt to install and enable leads to dependency not met error. Will it be available again going forward or is this now considered not necessary? I still have one addon (USTV VOD) which only plays some streams if it is enabled.

(BTW, I've also noticed that next pvr freezes when trying to open a stream. It works fine though if timeshift is disabled in settings). This happens on Leia on all devices so it is not libreelec specific but thought I'd mention it).

Samba access may appear "broken" in the last build or two - sorry about that. The default has been changed from SMBv3 to a new option of None which will only make sense with Samba 4.7, which these builds are not yet on. There will be a fix in tonight's build, but in the meantime temporarily force SMBv3 if you find your access to Samba content is no longer working.

inputstream.rtmp isn't currently compatible with latest Kodi master used in these builds (doesn't compile) so won't be coming back as a default/built-in addon. However it may appear in the LE9 Addon Repository in future once that is populated, assuming the addon is updated to be compatible with Kodi 18.
