There is no step by step instructions how to reproduce. That's a real problem.
The crash is not related to tvheadend, btw. Users using other pvr backends are also experiencing it.

I don't know if uploading the crashlog from a debug build will help or not, but here's one.

This crashlog seems to have been generated at or near the same time I was using WinSCP to look to see if a crashlog existed. I was not able to stfp or ssh into the Pi. The Pi had also frozen on the home screen and I had to yank the power plug out to get it going again.
Strangely, this crashlog does not contain any of the viewing I did last night. I had watched a TV show I previously recorded, then a video from "TV Shows", then some Live TV. It's not in kodi.log.old either as that was overwritten on reboot.
I have a second Pi also running the debug build provided by Milhouse. It hasn't been used yet and it is still running fine. Here's it's kodi.log:
