Thanks for testing. I was just about to ask whether things have improved for you. If you do not experience crashes during startup anymore during the next days, I will merge the fix to Kodi master branch.

FYI, Kodi is still crashing for me with the threadsafe change. I have three RPi2s with tvheadend on my server. 2 of the RPis didn't crash. The RPi that crashed is the one I was watching Recorded TV, Live TV, and TV Shows (from my library). It typically crashes within a couple hours of when I finish watching. It also crashed again this time about 2 hours later.
