Arrived home from work, and rpi2 was in never ending "searching for channel icons" but was otherwise responsive, re-started rpi2 and quickly entered back into never ending "searching for channel icons" but otherwise still responsive. Performed a "kill -ABRT $(pidof kodi.bin)" via ssh

Then after kodi restart and a re-boot of rpi2 and switching on debug, again entered "searching for channel icons" loop, tried to enter TV options to view channels or guide (cant remember which and kodi seemed to lock up) Performed another "kill -ABRT $(pidof kodi.bin)"
