Playback started working again after SMB restart, then I experienced buffer issues and lag on playback.
After a few minutes I got the Playback failed error message. Now Error Connection timeout on SMB.
Did try to revert #1231 and still issues. Probably will need to try a clean install.
If it fails up update I will try reverting to #1227.
But I suspect something broke in smb config or similar when upgrading to #0101
"Connection timeout" usually suggests the client is unable to negotiate a usable version of the SMB protocol with the server.
The default Kodi client configuration in these builds will negotiate from SMB1/NT1 up to SMB3, but if you've been customising these settings then you may have caused the problem you now have.
Also check your Samba server configuration to make sure you haven't configured it in such a way that prevents the Kodi client from connecting.
Without knowing what you have changed or configured (in either the client or server), or what server you are using, it's impossible to give you more specific advice - I would suggest you start a new thread on the LibreELEC forum if you continue to have issues after double checking your client and server settings. I guarantee this is not an issue with these builds, but with your Samba configuration.
