Thanks
I tested current release this morning on few 3D ISO files without problems.

Awesome news. Will try that when home.
Thanks for replying

Nick.

I had a moment and thought I'll give this build a try. After the konami code and game menu enabled I was met by this error trying to install an emulator.
I've looked into repositories and such, but it doesn't make to much sense to me (not extremely experienced on this system is my excuse).
So, to the point. Is this an easy fix?

RPi3 coming from the latest official version of Libreelec,
Upgraded through dropping #0525, 25-May-2017 into the ./update folder and rebooted.

Brgs,

I am having the exact same problem (also using RPi3), except the dependency it is saying is not met is 1.0.33 not 1.0.29. Is there an easy fix to this? The initial reply to this didn't actually seem to answer that question (at least as I understood it). I've been having this issue for a couple weeks now and it hasn't resolved itself with nightly updates. Thanks!
Hi popcornmix,
thanks for the report "paplayer (vp): fix out-of-bounds error in audiocodec passthrough"  to FernetMenta on github.

My hifiberry-digi works now fine.

I've start a new isue on githup:

Audio output device selection reverts to HDMI after reboot #2389

Thanks for Your help

ok, i read:
The kodi forum is the best place for reporting this.

The game addons need rebuilding and updating in the LE repository. In the meantime if you want working games you'll need to go back to about #0202.

No, I don't know when the games will be rebuilt - hopefully soon.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

I cannot reproduce this here. I'm regularly using Milhouse builds on my main RPi with a Cirrus Logic Audio Card and so far the default audio device never changed to HDMI. I also just tested build #0217 with a Hifiberry Digi Pro, plus enabled it as passthrough device, did a few reboots and nothing flipped.

It's best if you upload a kodi debug log plus journalctl -a output from a boot where the flip occurs.

so long,

Hias

Thanks for the quick reply! So if I go back to the February 2, 2018 nightly it should work?

I believe so.

Yes, #0202 works. This is a known issue. Garbear (maintainer of Retroplayer) promised addons' rebuilding to be quite soon. All necessary PRs are merged, we are just waiting for this final step.

Thanks to both of you for the quick replies! I tried downgrading to #0202 but it still won't let me install Libretro Compatibility due to dependency issues. I also tried a few builds before #0202, but with the same result. Is there a way to just manually install the versions that are working with dependencies (e.g. through a .zip file)? Thanks again.

I don't think so, at least not easily - you would be better off waiting.

Milhouse, since #0212 3D mode is forced on 2D material after playing 3D files as pointed out by -DH-.

Quick question regarding this. Is there any specific reason why some newer files don't play at all?
I get black screen and Pi reboots after a while. The same file plays fine on Kodi PC version.

Does anybody know why some h.265 files lock up and reboot Kodi?

Can you upload a sample video?

What can i do in order to avoid this?

...i have to switch back every time after a new start :-|

So couple of possibilities.
If the ALSA card was not detected on boot kodi would likely fall back to HDMI.
But it wouldn't let you switch back to ALSA card which I believe you are doing, so that doesn't sound like it.

The other option is kodi is not saving the changed settings. Perhaps something in .kodi is corrupt?
As a test can you rename .kodi (e.g. to .kodi_back) and reboot?
If you now change the audio device and reboot does it stick?
After confirming this you can delete the new .kodi directory and rename .kodi_back to .kodi.

1) changing the audio device after rename Kodi and reboot = alsa_hifiberry does it stick.
2) after delete the new kodi dir. and rename kodi.back to kodi = after new start HDMI stands always in output device.

edit->sd card :.kodi is corrupt,
take the card from my pi2 and load the config.txt from pi3 on it (same addons ect)

the fastest action to solve this problem.

Thanks, it works now and sorry for my flashy - helplessness. You understand me ;-)

best regards
