The scrollbar (video/audio) is moving/shifting if i touch the mouse.

edit: back to 8.2.3 and this all will work fine on both pi.

I'll drop the libinput changes.
Thank You very much milhouse - works fine now.

hi question regarding New Raspberry PI 3 B+ can you test 1080p Netflix is it running smoothly ? Because now RPI3 with slight OC to 1350 is able to run only 720p.

Netflix (and all widevine-related) decode is an entirely software process, limited by the CPU speed, and unfortunately the Pi3+ - even with the bump to 1400Mhz- is just not able to decode [email protected] using the ARM alone. It can almost do it, but not quite (slight audio sync issues, so it's not "smooth"). Stick with 720p even on the Pi3+ for now if you want "smooth" Netflix playback.

 OK, so no upgrade for me to B+ will stick with Raspberry PI 3 and 720p .

Would have f2fs filesystem any benefit on rpi builds? Better performance/lifetime of sdcards?

Hi,
I have tested your latest build #0314, with an overclocked Pi 3 and high data rate h265 video files, all looks great, no crashes or memory problems.
I still have MALLOC_MMAP_THRESHOLD_=16384 set in mmap_threshold.conf is this still being used? what is the built in defalt now?
Thanks,
Kevin.

I should get new Pi3 B+ today some time (ordered it yesterday) Smile

Any recommended settings for new Pi3 B+ to get the most out of HEVC?

Any Pi version specific section in configuration file like [pi2]...[pi3] when moving SD chip around?
Maybe [pi3+]...?

[pi2]
arm_freq=1000
gpu_freq=400
over_voltage=4
force_turbo=1
sdram_freq=600
over_voltage_sdram=5
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020

[pi3]
arm_freq=1300
gpu_freq=500
over_voltage=4
force_turbo=1
sdram_freq=580
over_voltage_sdram=5
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020

[pi3+]  Huh

Yes - that was added in last night's build. Be aware that both [pi3] and [pi3+] sections apply to a pi3+,
so keep the [pi3+] section last.

I think you'll find without overclocking the Pi3+ will play almost all 1080p30 hevc content just fine,
but feel free to experiment if you want to push it further.

Be aware that setting over_voltage higher that default can generate more temperature and hence cause throttling,
so try without aggressive overclocks first to be sure the overclock is helping.

Thanks for the [Pi3+] info.

No you can delete that now, we're using a default of 8192 for all arm devices now. I'm not sure if 8192 contributes to the difficulties producing crashlogs with gpu_mem=320 - it's something I mean to investigate.

ext4 vs f2fs benchmarks here: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=a...5-fs&num=2

f2fs performs slightly better than ext4 (but also much worse in some tests), and the results don't really justify replacing ext4 with f2fs IMHO.

I can't really say if f2fs results in improved lifetime of sd cards compared with ext4.

 What would be default set for Pi3+ if it reads both sets [pi3] and [pi3+] not to overclock or change anything?
Any default set of parameters?
