Hi guys,
There is an issue with omx player and live tv.
I use tvheadend as a backend. I have 4 RPi 3's all running milhouse nightlies, all up to date using 0622 build. All pi's produce the same issue.
When watching a HD channel and then switching to an SD channel or vice versa, the video stream is no longer recognised as a pvr stream, and you can no longer bring up the pvrosdinfo dialog, or the dialogpvrchannelguide.
And changing channels using up/down acts as a 'large skip' as if you were watching a normal video.
As I said, this is happening with OMX player only.
Sorry, I cannot produce logs as unfortunately I'll be away from my RPi's for a number of weeks. However, I expect this to be rather easy to reproduce for anyone running the same setup.
Ive been having major audio sync issues with pvr streams on both android shield and Pi for a a couple of weeks now and nothing I do seems to be able to fix this, so I decided to try OMX on the pi and not only is the audio staying in sync, but the video is more smooth... Pitty I don't have this luxury for Android shield.
anyways... as a result I noticed this issue which breaks the pvr viewing experience using omx.
Just thought I'd post this here before I forgot all about it. Hopefully someone can reproduce.
I'll check back in a couple of weeks when I'm able to use my pi's again.
Thanks.
