Can either of you identify when these menu issues first appeared in these test builds? 

I believe build #0127 introduced most of those issues.

VideoPlayer: rewrite yuv to rgb conversion for OpenGL (PR:13428, 8 commits, 50 files changed)
[GLES] VideoShader cleanup (PR:13416, 5 commits, 40 files changed)

DVD menus were never perfect in Kodi but those 2 PRs really screwed things up. 

Looking at PR13416 I found one commit with relevance to DVD menus: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/90c1...fba79c1a65
Not sure if it's responsible but testing a build with the commit reverted might be worth a try.
