thanks for your feedback, it confirm that some have this problem with the build (and is not related to the sd card fault)

With the help of @sky42 I've traced the CEC issue not turning off TV to a patch we use to save the exit code on shutdown - I'd broken it so that we no longer saved the exit code (the patch will be fixed tonight, and CEC should be working normally again).

My best guess is that this broken shutdown patch (introduced in #0818) might now, somehow, on rare occasions, be responsible for a few corrupted profiles.xml (my apologies). Though to be honest I'm not entirely sure how that might happen, or why it doesn't affect everyone. Fingers crossed it will be fixed tonight...
