I have a bunch of DVDs in my collection that display a weird green artifacts instead of the menu. The issue is specific to Raspberry Pi only, no such problem on other platforms (I also tested on a PC and an Android device).

Some DVDs are unplayable because when you try to start the movie it just displays a frozen frame of the DVD menu. This is also RPi-specific.

Both samples work fine with MMAL disabled and OMXPlayer enabled.
It would be nice if there was a way to use OMXPlayer by default for VIDEO_TS/DVD playback and MMAL for everything else. Because currently DVD playback is basically broken with MMAL due to menu issues.
