I'm guessing you didn't see the post I linked to because the forum system incorporated my punctuation at the end of the link. In any event, https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/598869d4...52840208cc specifically mentioned Kodi's use of a deprecated API key causing the 401 error as recently as August 2017. As I mentioned, I accidentally overwrote the log containing the 401 error so I can't confirm if my app was using the deprecated API key. I just figured I'd pass that information along in case it helps others troubleshoot the problem. I've also edited my previous post so the link points to the correct discussion about the 401 error.
