Unable to log off in Ubuntu
#1
Recently ran some updates, I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 now. I used to be able to log off from the Ubuntu desktop and select Kodi from the menu in the upper right. Then when I would restart it would go directly in to Kodi.

After updating this menu is gone and now clicking the log off button does nothing. Like literally nothing. I have to launch Kodi manually but I'd like to get it back to the way it was. Not sure what I did, can anyone help?

As far as I can remember all I did was:

apt-get install update-manager-core
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

(thought 17 was already released so I was trying to update)

I assume you are using Unity based Ubuntu? Are you running any additional docks like Cairo or Plank?

No I don't think I'm running Unity, it was originally an xbmcbuntu install.
I don't know what Cairo or Plank so I will also say no.
